May 26, 2020 - Those using Meriwether Lewis Connect are more than customers, you’re our neighbors. We are here to help you deal with the uncertainties of COVID-19 and have important information to share about your account.
In April and May, MLC offered relief to those experiencing a financial hardship due to COVID-19 by waiving late fees and not interrupting service if the account became past due. As Tennessee changes this month to a more open plan for our communities and businesses, we are also transitioning to more normal operations.
Beginning with your June statement, we will resume normal account processing, which includes late fees and suspending service for past due accounts. Please do not be alarmed if you are unable to pay the account in full. We have payment arrangement options to serve and support you while we work together on a solution.
For personal, confidential options available for your account, please contact your local MLEC office (number below) between 7:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. any week day. It is very important that you contact us PRIOR TO THE DUE DATE listed on your statement (June 10). If arrangements have not been made and your account is past due on the regular cutoff date, services will be suspended until we have an opportunity to speak with you.
We look forward to hearing from you and providing assistance.
